The former Snow Hill Road grade crossing in Haleyville.
This abandoned route is at the end of a branch in Cumberland County, in the southern pine barrens of New Jersey. The segment of the branch between Bridgeton and somewhere near Haleyville/Mauricetown remains in service by the Winchester & Western, where hopper cars are loaded with sand. The abandoned segment disappeared in the 1950s or 1960s. Bivalve is a small fishing port on the west bank of the Maurice River, near where the river empties into Delaware Bay.
The first picture shows the former Snow Hill Road grade crossing in Haleyville. The second picture is in Port Norris, and the right of way is now the dirt road heading north away from the camera.
